Widening participation short courses

We are committed to inspiring more young people to train and enter employment in the urban regeneration sector, and to this end have regularly offered access and taster courses in the south east:

March 2006
LEAP Access & Widening Participation Project: Construction & Design workshop, for 20 school age children (15-16 year olds), with Mid Kent College.

October 2006
Future Cities 3 day design programme, Dartford Grammar School (16-17 year olds) and University of Greenwich School of Architecture & Construction students for 200 participants.

December 2006 - February 2007
Aimhigher Urban Regeneration Access & Widening Participation Workshops for up to 40 school age children (16 year olds).

July 2007
URI/ University of Greenwich Summer School on Designing Sustainable Communities in Strood, Medway, for 30 students over 4 days (17-18 year olds), with Medway Council, University of Kent, Kent Architecture Centre and private sector, focussing on Strood Riverside and Waterfront areas.
