We are aware that delivering an urban renaissance demands an ever-widening skillset and high levels of knowledge and understanding of underlying and upcoming issues, and to this end offer a range of continuing professional development options to professional organisations:

March 2008 - February 2009
SouthEast Excellence Design Champions programme of workshops and study visits in UK and internationally, for 140 local authority design champions (officers and elected members) from the South East region, with Kent Architecture Centre, plus e-Bulletin service on design and planning issues with RTPI.

July 2008
CABE Summer School Gateshead, Toolshop session.

March 2008
SouthEast Excellence Master Class Changing Employment Patterns, for 30 delegates from around the South East region.

December 2007
SouthEast Excellence Master Class Tall Buildings, for 30 delegates from around the South East region.

October 2006
URI National Conference, Pushing the Envelope: Design and quality issues for taller buildings and the alternatives, including speakers from Rotterdam, Sao Paolo Brazil, English Heritage, developers, and pioneering local authorities, for 100 participants, including design workshops, targeted at LA officers, councillors, development agencies, practitioners, developers.

October 2005 and May 2006
University of Oxford Discovery QM2 programme: Shaping Our Cities lecture series, 8 lectures for audiences of 130 people, comprising developers, LA officers, councillors and the general public, and members.

September 2006
RTPI Planning Summer School, Urban Design: Quality and Density interactive workshops, for 70 participants over 2 different workshops.

September 2005
SouthEast Excellence Event: Talking Tissues Urban Design workshop, , for 16 participants including local authority officers and members, service providers, development agency staff, practitioners (architects and planners).
